HOFMANN INDUSTRIES EXPANDS MICHIGAN OPERATIONS

July 6, 2010 - Hofmann Industries, the Sinking Spring Pensylvania based manufacturer of welded steel tubing announced Tuesday that it has expanded its operations at its Eau Claire, Michigan facility.

According to Jeff Hills, Hofmann’s VP of Sales, "By improving our manufacturing capabilities in Eau Claire – including the addition of several tube mills, adding fabrication equipment and upgrading our powder coating lines – we’re making a commitment to our customers in the Midwest and throughout the United States."

Hills explained that the improvements to the Eau Claire facility will allow the company to respond quicker to customer requests for new product, decrease delivery time, and position the company well to be part of the ongoing economic recovery. "Over the past several years, it has become clear to us that the challenge to U.S. manufacturing posed by international competition needs to be met head-on. Hofmann Industries is focused on the needs of our customers: From personalized customer service and sales support, to quick turn-around on new products, and just-in-time delivery of multiple items, we’re dedicated to becoming an indispensible part of our customers’ supply chain."

In addition to the services offered at the Eau Claire facility, Hofmann will continue to serve customers from its headquarters located in Sinking Spring PA. Hofmann is known throughout the industry for its durable and attractive powder coated and zinc plated finishes. Hofmann tubes are used in applications ranging from office furniture to housewares and lawn and garden products. The company believes that the investment in its Eau Claire facility will help the company to secure its position in the market for fabricated tubular products.
